Mark started his aviation career by earning his Airframe, Powerplant and Private Pilot ratings in 1992. FAA Inspectors Authorization and NCATT Aircraft Electronics Technician ratings were earned later in his career. His first full-time employment in the industry was a Sheetmetal Specialist position performing DC3 turboprop conversions in Oshkosh WI. Mark was a Lead Technician at KC Aviation for six years followed by two years as a Field Service Representative for Dassault Falcon Jet and then fourteen years with Motorola’s flight Dept at PWK. Mark is currently employed by Solairus Aviation as the Maintenance Supervisor on a G450 based at MDW.
Mark is an active member of the Gulfstream Large Cabin Sustaining MSG3 Industry Steering Committee. Mr. Quandahl started the CABAA Maintenance committee in 2013, was elected as a Board Member in January 2018, is currently the Chair of the Membership Committee, remains active with the Maintenance Committees, and assists with maintaining CABAA’s Social Media and Web Sites.
