Committees are made up of active CABAA members who are willing to volunteer their time and expertise to advance the business aviation industry. This includes attending committee meetings, brainstorming ideas for future initiatives, and planning related events.

ATC Committee works in conjunction with the FAA to improve the efficiency of flying to and from the satellite airports in the Chicago area as well as informing transient pilots of the tips and procedures of flying in and out of the complicated Chicago airspace.
The Events Committee plans and executes CABAA-affiliated events. We work directly with venues, members, and sponsors to host events in and around the Chicagoland area.

The Flight Attendant Committee supports midwest-based corporate aviation professionals with networking events, mentoring, educational opportunities, and scholarships. We provide support to maintain qualifications, integrity, and professionalism amongst our peers.

The Golf Committee is responsible for planning and executing the annual golf outing, CABAA’s headline event of the year gathering industry professionals. Friends, colleagues, acquaintances, vendors and customers alike gather for an exciting day of fun and fundraising. The proceeds from the event are used to sponsor educational scholarships for students entering the industry.
The 2025 Golf Outing is set for Tuesday, August 12 at Cog Hill Golf and Country Club in Lemont, IL. Save the date!

The Government Affairs Committee stays abreast of aviation-related pieces of legislation circulating the Illinois House and Senate. Contact your respective state legislators with questions and/or concerns about recent updates.

The MX Committee hosts an annual fundraiser (typically held in the fall) to support maintenance-focused scholarships.
The Membership & Outreach Committee plans mentorship events to connect veteran business aviators with those looking to enter the field. Committee members also attend industry career fairs to engage the next generation of pilots, mechanics, schedulers, dispatchers, controllers, and more.
The Safety Committee provides CABAA members with frequent and accessible opportunities to increase their aviation-safety knowledge and to assist them in resolving common safety issues.

The Scholarship Committee actively promotes business aviation as a viable, interesting, and rewarding career on the campuses where our future job candidates are being trained. We facilitate a meaningful connection and an ongoing relationship between willing and interested students and individual members of CABAA that are able to mentor the student candidate within their discipline or job function on varying levels of commitment.
2025 scholarships will be open for application submissions on February 1.
